OGDEN — The Weber School District made an adjustment to its boundary, sending more future students to Country View Elementary School.

The district completed a boundary study in early 2017. The Board of Education approved boundary changes for several schools, including Country View and Kanesville elementary schools in March.

At the time, the district drew a diagonal boundary line between Country View and Kanesville because there were no homes in the area.

“Well, there are now homes being built there,” Executive Director of Elementary Education Cami Alexander said at a board meeting Wednesday, Sept. 6.

Because there are no children living in the homes yet, the boundary change was considered a “level 1” adjustment and only required approval from Superintendent Jeff Stephens.

The boundary line was extended north between S. 3950 West and S. 3850 West to encompass the new housing area and send those students to Country View.

“Country View can still handle the amount of students that will come out of there,” Alexander said.

Any future students living within the added section of boundary will be bussed to Country View, according to data presented at the meeting.
